PHOTOS: Ralph Lauren Delivers Russian Opulence And Oscars-Worthy Gowns

Trends come and go, but Ralph Lauren is forever. Yesterday’s runway show was everything we have come to know and love about the quintessential American designer. We stepped inside from the brisk morning air and were greeted with a lavish bouquet of magenta and lilac blooms, Valentine’s Day chocolates courtesy of Dylan’s Candy Bar, and a trio of jaw-dropping antler chandeliers draped and dripping with crystals. Once the show started, it was clear the designer had taken inspiration from the land of czarinas and “Anna Karenina”, though, as always, he kept to the house codes of luxurious, classic Americana.
