Tory Burch Tones Down Their Flats
Tory Burch has been a successful brand from the get-go, but nothing propelled the NYC-based label to fame so much as those incredibly popular logo-buckled flats which, while almost frustratingly ubiquitous, were that way for a reason: they’re cute, comfortable, and go with almost anything. However, for every logo-loving craze, there’s a corresponding backlash — and in this case, some people got a little tired of wearing what could so obviously be identified as the same shoe as everyone else. Not any more!

Cintra Wilson, I love you. Your review of the JC Penney in Herald Square was my Gchat status for weeks, and when someone first sent it to me, I read it four times straight, laughing harder each time, and forwarded in a manic frenzy to everyone I knew. Your differentiation between Kiki de Montparasse and Victoria’s Secret-heavy Agent Provacateur? Spot on, and sent me straight to the Kiki store. Which is why I say, as a total groupie, Isabel Marant as an Army-Navy store? Non!
