Rihanna Fragrance Page 1
Fragrance reviews are silly, but sometimes, fragrance marketing is even sillier. What do “playful pastimes” and “nostalgia” really smell like? So from now on, we’ll be crowdsourcing our own fragrance reviews. Read on to find out what our office thought about the latest sample to land on our desk. This week, we’re sniffing Rihanna‘s Reb’l Fleur.
Barely racy ads getting censored in the Middle East is nothing new, but we find the Kuwaiti repackaging of Rihanna‘s ad for her fragrance Reb’l Fleur to be sort of graceful — and still really strange.
Finally, the promotional video for Rihanna‘s fruit salad-scented fragrance is here! The perfume is called Reb’l Fleur, and the ad looks at the two conflicting sides of the pop star. You see, there’s the bad Rihanna (Reb’l, as in…a bastardized form of the word rebel?) and the good Rihanna (Fleur, the French word for flower), and they’re dueling!
You know we love us some Rihanna here at Styleite — and whether she’s borrowing looks from other people or texting Katy Perry about what not to wear, she definitely makes a splash with her style choices. So why does her new fragrance (or at least what we know about it) leave so much to be desired?
Rihanna is the proud owner of a pretty bad-ass new neck tattoo that reads “rebelle fleur” — which would be awesome if it actually made any sense.
