Despite her bizarre fashion choices, Rihanna makes music so catchy and danceable that we can’t help but love her. Her latest song “S&M” doesn’t quite stack up to the pop perfection that is “SOS”, but it still makes us want to dance around our apartment in our underwear. So there’s that. More importantly, the accompanying video has all sorts of crazy looks to analyze.

Critiquing Rihanna’s outfits is starting to get a little Lady Gaga-esque. While they’re not bad, per se, they’re usually not good, and they have a tendency to be just crazy enough to render any criticism a moot point. But when we saw her out and about in London while wearing a tea-length crinoline skirt, ankle socks with heels, a statement tee tied at her midriff, and an oversized grey blazer, we couldn’t help but bite.

Rihanna showed up to an after party for her LA concert sporting her much spoken about red coif, and donning what appears to be a former Barnum & Bailey circus costume. While we’re normally huge fans of the jumpsuit, the multicolored polka dot pattern on this one-shouldered garb makes it look cheap and, for lack of a better word, silly.
