Rihanna mixed things up this week when she chose to mix gym clothes, fancy shoes, and…boobs.
At first glance, the hot off the press Just Cavalli fall campaign looks like it’s a scene out of the late ’60s with twenty-somethings holding protest wearing hallucinatory prints à la Barbara Hulanicki. But take a closer look and you’ll find that the SWAT team members have suspiciously chiseled cheekbones, the “protestors” are too busy canoodling, and instead of ‘Make love, not war’ signs, the bunches are picketing on behalf of getting ‘Just Naked’ and being ‘Just Young’.
Karl Lagerfeld might be the one with an entire book dedicated to his quotes, but Roberto Cavalli certainly rivals the Kaiser’s unapologetic candor. You might recall that instance in which Cavalli insulted Anna Wintour, Vogue, and Louis Vuitton all in one fell Twitter rant. Let’s face it, the designer’s not one to filter.
Fragrance reviews are silly, but sometimes, fragrance marketing is even sillier. What do “playful pastimes” and “nostalgia” really smell like? So from now on, we’ll be crowdsourcing our own fragrance reviews. Read on to find out what our office thought about the latest sample to land on our desk. This week, we’re testing out Just Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli.
Just because it’s the weekend doesn’t mean that the glamour stops. We’re keeping up with the happenings at Milan Fashion Week with the latest runway livestream, and the first one up this Saturday is Roberto Cavalli at 6:30 AM EST.
Naomi Campbell hosted a Fashion for Relief charity dinner in London last night, and her fashionable friends really took their outfits seriously. Kate Moss, Georgia May Jagger, and even Sarah Ferguson showed up — and everyone wore black.
In case you haven’t yet had your daily dose of hilarity, here it is: this is a video of Roberto Cavalli making vodka cocktails for himself and his “beautiful girlfriend” while a parrot inexplicably hangs out in the corner.
Our widely recognized favorite supermodel of all time is back – this time on the cover of Ukrainian Harper’s Bazaar.
Roberto Cavalli is no stranger to Twitter — he has (as of publishing) posted over 2,500 tweets and has just under 200,000 followers to his name — but over the weekend, the designer went on a bit of a Kanye West-inspired rant, calling out Anna Wintour, Louis Vuitton, and the “fashion mafia system” all in one fell swoop.
Roberto Cavalli is up there with Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood when it comes to giving crazy quotes. Previously, he’s questioned Ralph Lauren’s sexuality and compared himself to god. Now, he’s turned his thoughts to the state of American fashion.
The spring campaigns are pouring in, and Roberto Cavalli‘s has secured its spot among our favorite of the season.
This was the week we finally saw the Twilight wedding dress. We also saw offensive billboards, tween thongs, and Thanksgiving style advice. But also awesome puppies! And Muppets! And Obamas!
This week in Israel, Roberto Cavalli showed his spring 2012 collection to an audience quite possibly more rapt than that which saw the original Milan showing in late September. While you may be shocked to learn worldwide fashion weeks are still going on, we were even more surprised — make that tickled — that our trip to Tel Aviv Fashion Week would give us a second look at the glamorous collection.
It’s rare to see Kristen Stewart rock a floor length gown, let alone two red carpets in a row. But for tonight’s London premiere of Breaking Dawn, Part 1, Stewart opted for a black sequined gown with a plunging neckline from Roberto Cavalli‘s Spring 2012 collection.
Ever wanted to know what Donatella Versace wears when she’s not sporting sequin-covered gowns? Or what Michael Kors looks like in something other than a black, tailored suit? So did we, and that’s why when we saw Giorgio Armani rocking a speedo last week, we couldn’t help but dig up photos of our other favorite designers in their beach duds. So turn up your A.C, it’s about to get hot in here.
What is it with fashion designers and hilarious interviews? In a scene straight out of Zoolander, designer Roberto Cavalli spoke to writer and Fashion Fringe founder Colin McDowell about what it’s like being a straight designer in the fashion world.
Italian designer Roberto Cavalli is known for his chic bohemian clothing and his casually luxurious clothing, but it turns out his zealous use of animal prints is inspired by a much higher power.
Maybe it wasn’t too soon for Rebecca Taylor to open a store in Tokyo after all. Fashion brands including Louis Vuitton and Forever 21 cautiously reopened their doors in Tokyo on Tuesday, while employees at H&M moved back to the capital city from Osaka. Slowly but surely, the city’s retail scene seems to be getting back to normal. And while brands are keeping an eye on their employees’ safety, they’re ever mindful that the earthquake and tsunami of two weeks ago will impact their bottom line.
