Prince George, the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be christened in a private ceremony today at 1:30 pm BST (8:30 am EST). Join us in watching the event unfold from outside the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace in London. You can also expect to see Prince Harry, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate’s family.
It was just yesterday that we were betrothing our love for bohemian beauty Tatiana Santo Domingo, who will marry her longtime love Andrea Casiraghi later this month. And now we have another royal bride-to-be on our hands, Charlotte Casiraghi, who just happens to be Domingo’s future sister-in-law. People is reporting that she’s not only engaged and set to marry actor beau Gad Elmaleh this fall, but is also pregnant with his child.
We’re by no means jumping off the Kate Middleton bandwagon, but after probing the next royal bride, Tatiana Santo Domingo, and discovering that she’s essentially a modern day Marissa Berenson, we’re thinking that the Duchess of Cambridge needs to step up her game.
We all have our go-to handbag, and since we assume yours is black, we imagine it’s not too dissimilar from the Launer London handbag that Queen Elizabeth has been toting around for years. And seriously, while the access being a royal gets you knows no bounds, if our wardrobe was as vividly colored as the Queen’s, we probably wouldn’t have the patience to choose a purse after spending all that time picking a matching, dress, coat, shoes, and hat. She knows a classic when she sees one, and when your to-do list is as long as hers, time is of the essence, so take a cue from Lizzy and forget the statement bag.
You won’t find anything post-apocalyptic or fashioned from gold afros, but London’s upcoming ‘Fashion Rules’ exhibition is as ostentatiously elaborate as anything you’ll see on the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture runways. And there are holographs!
Since you’ve all been so good this year, we’ve got a big treat today: a double whammy of the Royal Family at Christmas!
While Kate and Will are spending their Christmas with the Middleton family in Buckleberry, and Harry is still serving in Afghanistan, the rest of the Royal family gathered at Sandringham Estate this morning in Norfolk, England for their annual holiday tradition. And of course, Queen Elizabeth looked great.
If you, like us, have ever wondered what it must be like to be a royal’s doctor in a less-than-dignified situation, the cast of SNL and host Martin Short have an answer for you.
Queen Elizabeth has updated the Order of Precedence, which lists the hierarchy within the Royal Household, and the change affects our precious Kate Middleton.
Yesterday the royal family celebrated Christmas with a visit to Sandringham Church. It was Kate Middleton‘s first Christmas at Sandringham as Duchess Catherine, and lots of hats were involved.
Remember how Prince William and Kate Middleton said they wanted to live a low-key life with not that many servants? Well now that we know the extent of some of those servants’ duties, we understand why. A new expose about the British royal family written by one of its former servants details all of the peculiar, unfortunate and downright weird things the royal wardrobe minders have to do every day.
Few things are more irresistible than cute kids with British accents. Throw in the fact that they’re members of the royal family, and you’ve got video gold. Add in Queen Elizabeth, and, well, it just doesn’t get much better than this.
Learning to be a princess is hard work, so Kate Middleton has been hidden behind the palace gates these past few months brushing up on a very specialized set of regal skills. None of the lessons has had anything to do with fashion, but hey — it’s not like she needs that, does she?
If the royal wedding is good for anything (and it is good for lots of things!), it’s getting the whole royal family together so that they can be royally royal all in the same place! So many princes, and even more princesses! And some queens! No kings though. Hmmmm.
If you’re marrying the Prince of England, you can pretty much assume that your engagement (and wedding) photographer is going to be someone huge. And not like, Best In The Wedding Photography Business huge, but Best In The Entire World huge. So it should come as no surprise that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s engagement photoshoot was done by one of fashion’s most famous and most revered lensmen. Any guesses?
