Earlier this year, rumors swirled that fashionista du jour Blake Lively would be playing Carrie Bradshaw in a third Sex and the City feature film based on Candace Bushnell’s best-selling prequel book, The Carrie Diaries. Lively’s rep quickly shot those rumors down, but now we hear Lively may indeed be starring in the movie — just not as the title character. So who will play the fashionable foursome? The sequel may have been panned by critics and fans alike, but the Sex and the City franchise isn’t dead yet. Apparently producers are interested in filling the “glamourous void” with a big screen adaptation of Candace Bushnell’s best-selling prequel book, The Carrie Diaries — and Grazia is reporting that head honcho Michael Patrick King wants Blake Lively for the role.
