Sure, Cartier has made mere commercials in the past, but it’s never made a short film that takes its viewers on a trip around the world in under four minutes. That’s what the storied French jewelry brand is doing now with its first fancy foray into making movies with L’Odyssee de Cartier.
So. Karl Lagerfeld felt the need to make a short film for Hogan. And instead of including Noot Seaar like every other responsible fashion company that felt the need to make a short film, he constructed a weird black and white bilingual drama between his boy toy Baptiste Giabiconi and model Magdalena Frackowiak, two very gorgeous people who couldn’t act to save their lives.
Actress Noot Seaar is officially the go-to girl for fashion brands that feel the need to make a short film. Seaar talked to Elle about her newest short, “The Getaway,” filmed by Gordon Harrison Hull for Tory Burch. She’s also stood next to Justin Timberlake in a commercial for Givenchy‘s Play fragrance, and recently appeared in a film called “The Chase” for Diesel Black Gold. Oh, and perhaps you’ve seen her in a little movie only a few people have seen called “Twilight: New Moon.”
