Fashion designers, as we demonstrated last week, are overwhelmingly dog people. But, like most, the industry still has a soft spot for kittens. Need proof? Here are thirteen editorials featuring our favorite furry friends.
SHOWstudio founder Nick Knight says he sees fashion as form of communication, and after watching one of his films, it is truly incredible how he manages to say so much without a single word. The fashion photographer, who directed Lady Gaga’s Born This Way video and counted Alexander McQueen as a friend, uses advanced technology and an incredible eye for detail to create some of the most controversial, ground breaking fashion material out there.
Lady Gaga’s Vanity Fair cover might be one of the most beautiful things we’ve seen all year, which is why were particularly excited to see that SHOWStudio — they of the Lady Gaga urinal — have behind-the-scenes video of the shoot. And while the clip is typical of SHOWStudio’s more artsy fare — lots of jumpy editing, a strange soundtrack, etc — it actually makes a great case for what a good model Gaga is.
A series of photos featuring an unnamed male model have been slowly leaking onto SHOWStudio.com. Described as images from a Vogue Hommes Japan shoot styled by Nicola Formichetti and shot by Nick Knight (who not-so-coincidentally is the mastermind behind ShowStudio), the photos are stirring up some buzz in the blogosphere as to whether the unnamed male model is really Lady Gaga.
This morning Lady Gaga participated in the ninth installment of SHOWstudio’s In Camera interview series, answering questions from fans around the globe. But the interview didn’t just attract the attention of Gaga’s little monsters – some pretty big ones showed up to submit queries, too. Fashion-world heavyweights from Cathy Horyn to Naomi Campbell typed in a question for the pop diva.
Kate Moss is eleven collections deep at Topshop, and for her twelth, the brand decided to do what so many fashion powerhouses have been doing as of late: make a video, of course! Karl’s doing it, Louboutin is doing it, David Lynch and Dior are doing it, so why not Kate?
For those of you that dream of sitting Gaga down for an hour or two, your lucky day is here! According to Vogue UK, Lady Gaga is next in line to shoot SHOWstudio.com’s In Camera segment. In Camera, which has previously featured fashion greats such as Alexander McQueen and Kate Moss, will broadcast an interview with Gaga, which they claim will be “unique” and “unedited.”
