Socks Page 1
Socks are a totally forgotten, but totally necessary item. There’s nothing we hate more than cold feet, and more often than not, we find ourselves in such a dilemma. That’s why we rounded up the best socks out there (read: nothing from Rob Kardashian‘s line) under $30 that’ll keep your feet happy and warm throughout the season.
Finally, a smartphone app that will tell you which of your socks match! And it gives the anti-cheating ring a run for its money in the totally useless product category.
We like to think that people can afford expensive clothes buy expensive clothes — because, honestly, why wouldn’t you? Who wouldn’t want to spend their hard earned money surrounding themselves with the best feeling and best fitting clothing that money could buy? Apparently, not New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who admitted to Page Six that he gets his socks at Filene’s Basement.
Fall is the best. Crisp air, apple cider, decorative gourds. And the sartorial options! Scarves, sweaters and tights — oh my! Yes, we love ourselves some fanciful hosiery, but how much is too much to spend on lust-worthy legwear?
If we were to make a list of the biggest foot-related fashion faux pas, socks with sandals would definitely come in first place. But believe it or not, according to results from an archeological dig conducted in North Yorkshire, England, this awful fashion disaster has been around for over 2,000 years.
You there — it’s summer! What the hell is going on with your shoes? Are those flip-flops? Shame on you!

We’d barely just come to terms with wearing socks under our sandals and already the fashion industry has thrown another sartorial curveball at us: socks over shoes! Spotted cruising down the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, we can’t decide whether to just laugh this one off (like we tried to do with anti-embolism stockings) or get a little worried.
Beyonce has just released a video for her new single, “Why Don’t You Love Me?” and following in the footsteps of her “Video Phone” Bettie Page look, Ms. Knowles plays the pin-up to the nth degree. Shot with 8mm-esque film and featuring a set straight out of The Wonder Years (and, perhaps more appropriately, Dreamgirls), the video follows Beyonce through a series of housekeeping mishaps — throughout all of which she’s dressed to the nines and swigging from a dirty martini. Why don’t you love her, indeed.
We can’t believe we’re using Shenae Grimes as an example of anything fashion-related, let alone in conjunction with Lindsay Lohan, but this question is just begging to be asked. What on earth is up with the knee-high hose these two are sporting?
