OMG Shoes At The Bling Ring’s New York Premiere

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Emma Watson’s strong red carpet showings this season, it’s that she is essentially the antithesis of her Bling Ring character Nicki. The film’s New York premiere last night brought even more proof as the actress kept it crisp and chic with a shellacked low bun, crimson lips, LBD, and one very sleek pair of Christian Louboutins. It seems Watson is proving herself to be quite the master of minimalism.

Why Sofia Coppola, Of All Directors, Chose The Bling Ring

Sofia Coppola is anything but ostentatious. The woman wore Marc Jacobs pajamas to the MET Gala this year for crying out loud. So what is it then, that drew the understating fashion-forward director towards a story of teenagers who became famous for robbing the homes of Hollywood elite?

Anna Sui‘s runway is one that we look forward to each season because it’s genuinely a lot of fun. Happy models, pretty clothes, a chill atmosphere, and BS-free front row — now that’s our kind of show. Last night, Sui did what she does best with a great collection of clothes inspired by the ’60s in France, and a big group of top models.

We love Natalie Portman‘s Miss Dior Cherie print ad (we may have called it “the most flawless perfume ad in the history of perfume ads,” in fact), so it’s no surprise that we dig her new commercial for the fragrance, too.

Last night Elle celebrated Tinseltown’s elite at their Women in Hollywood celebration. Vets like Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn mixed with the younger set, which included Mad Men‘s adorable Kiernan Shipka (who looked like she walked right off the set in her retro frock). The fashionable crowd included Sofia Coppola (classy in black and white), Rachel Zoe (fabulous in fur), Gwyneth Paltrow (punchy in tangerine) and many more.

Now that it’s finally over, we’ve collected our thoughts — and our judgements! — and put together a gallery of what we think are some of Venice’s most fashionable moments.
