Allow us to be blunt: Kate and Laura Mulleavy are great designers, but frequently we find their collections to be so good they’re intimidating and even look hard to wear. Their Rodarte collection for spring 2011 is proves they can do commercial clothes just as well as they can do what could pass for couture.
As hard as Tom Ford may try, this industry is not good at keeping secrets. The Daily is reporting that Ford will indeed be showing a women’s wear collection this week at a small and ultra-exclusive presentation — with one extra-special caveat. Ford won’t be using your usual run-of-the-mill, legs-for-days glamazons.

Fashion Week is finally here, and if our calendars, heart rates, and the fact that the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week website is currently taking an hour to load are any indication, this one is going to be a doozy. But for those of you not in New York or not going to the shows — both which are also known as “the majority” — you don’t have to feel left out.
