It’s becoming clearer by the day that the fashion world has entered a new digital age, powered in many ways by social media. Clothing brands now turn to bloggers like Leandra Medine, Bryanboy, and Tavi Gevinson for advertising and collaborations. Refinery29, the style blog that does it all, is quickly turning in to a multi-platform powerhouse, and next up in its master plan for fashion world domination: a handbag collaboration with DKNY.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Everyone who makes their living as a fashion blogger wishes they were Scott Schuman, the photographer behind The Sartorialist. Scott Schuman, however, doesn’t really care for people who blog about personal style.
H&M, everyone’s favorite purveyor of designer collaboration collections, is teaming up with a Swedish blogger named Elin Kling on a micro-sized collection of clothes that will only be sold in Sweden. In an era where everyone from Coach to RVCA has brought in bloggers to actually help make a product, the move makes sense. But it also has us wondering when the Swedish megabrand will work with an American blogger.
Okay, Jane Aldridge, we get it. You like shoes. Really amazing shoes. We appreciate your sense of style, but sometimes we think you lack an awareness of it all.

After spending time with Scott Schuman and Garance Dore, Italian fashion director Giovanna Battaglia came up with an idea for a photo shoot for Vogue Pelle. The spread, titled Can I Take A Picture? and shot by Schuman, celebrates the “cool, blogger girl.”
