We’re deep in the throes of a Great Gatsby fever, but at least one notable name has no interest in seeing the film in theaters tomorrow. Carey Mulligan, who happens to play Daisy, the crown jewel of the story and Gatsby’s long-lost love interest. In this video, Mulligan spills to Jon Stewart on the specificity of Catherine Martin’s costume design, and why we won’t be seeing her in line for popcorn.
KStew and JStew (that’s Jon Stewart, for the uninitiated) hung out last night on the set of The Daily Show, managing to avoid even a teensy mention of the On The Road actress’ ongoing relationship drama. If you’ll recall, when Robert Pattinson was on the show a few months back, the host offered him Ben & Jerry’s and told him to “kick her to the curb,” so we’re sure someone’s publicist is heaving a big sigh of relief right about now.
Jilted lover Robert Pattinson emerged from his den of anguish yesterday to promote his film Cosmopolis, first on the red carpet at the New York City premiere, then later on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He showed up again this morning to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange with director David Cronenberg. Needless to say, it’s been a big 24 hours for tabloids and Twilight fans everywhere.
You saw Michelle Obama talk veggies on Good Morning America, but did you watch her on the The Daily Show? Spoiler alert: she was excellent.
We’re still upset that we won’t be seeing Tilda Swinton on the red carpet at the Oscars, but we will get to see her wear cool clothes while she promotes her new film, We Need To Talk About Kevin, on shows like The Daily Show.
You are a stunning television personality. Dentists would pay you for the privilege of maintaining your pearly whites, your skin has a glow that makes every other fake news show host envious, and “Daily Show” fangirls are forever enamored by your charm and razor sharp wit. But your beard makes you look like Jesse James.
