The Face Page 1
Karolina Kurkova had the displeasure of eliminating the first contestant on The Face last night, and subsequently, pissing off fellow mentor and competitor Naomi Campbell. But Kurkova found that the least enjoyable part of being on a reality show is actually watching herself on TV.
Naomi Campbell‘s modeling competition show, The Face, made its genetically blessed debut on Oxygen last night and while we had no shortage of expectations, Ms. Campbell managed to exceed every single one of them by throwing a temper tantrum on the very first episode.
Who knew that an extra layer and a hip accessory would be all it took to transform a bandage dress into the pinnacle of downtown cool. Sleeves! Hats! A revelation! Not that the label’s signature style was the only thing to see on the runway at yesterday’s Hervé Léger by Max Azria show. No, it would be hard to miss the gigantic fur hoods worn by a number of the models, and even before everyone took their seats, the melee of photographers and journalists surrounding the front row celebs was, as per usual, a spectacle unto itself. We caught up with one such A-list showgoer, Coco Rocha, backstage after the show to hear her thoughts on the collection, how she’s weathering the blizzard, and where she’ll be watching the premiere of her new reality series “The Face”.

While The Face doesn’t premiere until next Tuesday, host Nigel Barker, supermodel coaches Coco Rocha, Naomi Campbell, and Karolina Kurkova, and a slew of their fashionable friends stepped out in New York City last night to fête the new reality show.
Nobody has a face quite like Naomi Campbell‘s. That much is crystal clear in the February issue of Elle, which features a killer spread of the supermodel and an accompanying article to drum up excitement for her new show called, well, The Face.
Can you guess who? Hint: neither of their names are Tyra.
It was announced back in May that 41-year-old model Naomi Campbell would be getting her own reality show called The Face, and we’ve just been told in a press release that it’s now casting in New York and L.A.
