The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Page 1
Out promoting her new film, Arthur Newman, Emily Blunt stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, and the conversation quickly turned to her unique style. Leno holds up the May 2013 issue of InStyle, which Emily of course covers, and calls the Burberry Prorsum look “Edwardian space-agey”. Over the course of the interview, Blunt denies being stylish and hilariously nails an American accent. Watch after the jump.
We know it’s been said a million times before, but can we just take a minute to acknowledge how unbelievably gorgeous Halle Berry is? For a reminder, you need only watch this video of her appearance last night on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in which the 46-year-old wears an ultra low-cut Reem Acra LBD that proves almost as riveting as her small talk about the Oscars and the James Bond franchise.
The late night wars are heating up yet again! Is Jay Leno on the way out of the Tonight Show slot? Is Jimmy Fallon on the way in? Of course it’s a question of who gets the most laughs and draws the biggest A-list names, but we think there’s one other factor most people are forgetting: whose guests break out their best outfits for their time on the couch. As such, we’ve rounded up what everyone from Kristen Stewart to Heidi Klum to Michelle Obama wore on the two talk shows and are pitting them head to head for you to judge which late night host has the spiffiest stars.
In Beasts of the Southern Wild, youngest-ever “Best Actress” nominee Quvenzhané Wallis sticks to a grungy uniform of a tattered tank top and rolled-up jeans. In real life, however, the nine-year-old is clearly partial to glitzier fare. Wallis stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday with director Benh Zeitlin to talk about the film, the fast-approachingAcademy Awards, and whether designers are clamoring over one another to dress her for the big day, and wore the kind of awesome outfit grown-ups secretly wish they could get away with.
If we learned anything from last night’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, it’s that Heidi Klum is a braver woman than we. The Project Runway host visited the set in a black sleeveless dress with sheer net panels up the sides that, while definitely made for dancing, looked like a dangerous choice for doing so on a desk in front of television cameras.
Julie Bowen‘s chartreuse Monique Lhuillier ensemble was one of the more memorable highlights from the Emmys red carpet, which is why we were so surprised to see Nicki Minaj wear it to the American Music Awards earlier this month.
There was a whole lot going on with the outfit Ann Romney wore yesterday on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. For one thing, it was leather. Leather! As you might imagine, not everyone was happy with this choice.
Well, this is quite a treat: Michelle Obama and Gabby Douglas were on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night! Michelle looked as chic as ever in a black and yellow printed Bibhu Mohapatra frock from the resort 2012 collection, and Douglas looked cool in a black moto jacket, gilded skirt, and of course, her two gold medals.
The Kardashians visited The Tonight Show yesterday, and it was VERY BORING — except when Khloe totally called out Kim. That part was pretty great.
Kim Kardashian prides herself on her family’s decision to be “an open book”, which might explain why, after offering some (undoubtedly earnest) platitudes about her marriage to Jay Leno on Wednesday’s Tonight Show, she started talking about camels, their toes, and their size relative to her sister Khloe’s actual camel toe.
News flash: Jessica Simpson is still pregnant. This fact was made abundantly clear as the former pop star and reality TV judge teetered onto The Tonight Show stage last night in 6-inch heels.
Michelle Obama rules. Need (more) proof? Check out her appearance on The Tonight Show.
Though we can’t deny the pop crack that is “Baby”, Justin Bieber has some really cringeworthy things to say about his fragrance. Again.
President Obama talked about a lot of things Tuesday night on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He touched on the death of Muammar Gaddafi, bipartisanship in Congress, creating more jobs in America and of course that most important of American political talking points, the Kardashians.
Paula Deen is suddenly very important to our professional lives! While we’ve always enjoyed her “mo’ butter less problems” cooking ‘tude, now she’s getting in on the FASHIONZ.
And the Ryan Gosling lovefest continues. Last night, he dropped by The Tonight Show where Jay Leno complimented him on his (per usual) very snazzy suit, which Gosling admitted was — gasp! — a repeat.
Just a day after he made an unfortunate analogy involving the World Trade Center, Dwyane Wade exhibited grace under pressure, issued an apologetic statement, put on a khaki band jacket and strolled onto the set of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as though nothing had happened.
