If there’s one show we’re sure will stick with us fifty years from now, it’s that of Thom Browne for Spring 2014. While it was arresting to no end, it was also ripe with night terror bait. His inspiration, “insane Elizabethan clowns,” is scary enough, without adding an insane asylum backdrop complete with the kind of nurses you might find on American Horror Story, Joker-inspired beauty, and a droning xylophone soundtrack.
The Obamas started their busy Inauguration Day at St. John’s Church in Washington D.C. this morning, and despite the chill, the Obama women made big statements with their outerwear.
Thom Browne is the latest to hop on the 50 Shades of Grey train, and has a designed a capsule collection called Tom Grey. While the clothes aren’t just all grey hues, Browne is definitely capitalizing on the book’s insane popularity.

As much as we ladies might bemoan the wardrobe woes that accompany a membership in the fairer sex — when it comes to dressing on the cheap, we’ve totally had the the upper hand. With nary a Thom Browne for Target collaboration in sight, it’s definitely proved more difficult for men to get dapperly decked without spending a small fortune. But now, boys can save their Aqua Velva and pomade for another day because, thanks to a new troupe of democratizing designers, the suit has gotten a whole heck of a lot less expensive. Not to mention cooler.
