Carine Roitfeld‘s irreverence is the stuff of legend — not to mention the inspiration for the title of her 2011 coffee book. Her latest tongue-in-cheek endeavor is a Bruce Weber-lensed spread in the second issue of CR Fashion Book starring none other than Big Ang, the brassy, big-chested, Staten Island-dwelling star of VH1‘s Mob Wives. Why Big Ang? Well, for the women’s issue of Ad Week, the former French Vogue editor explains the thinking behind the unexpected casting choice.
We were hoping for some outré ensembles at VH1‘s annual Divas concert, but, sadly, all we got were snooze-worthy black outfits and equally-boring-but-slightly-more-colorful ones. Yawn.
Rats! I wanted very much to like this show! After speaking with Corri McFadden and hearing how smart she is with her business, I was excited to screen the premiere of VH1′s House of Consignment. Unfortunately, the show has a few problems — many of which aren’t McFadden’s fault.
We spoke with Corri McFadden, founder of consignment site eDrop-Off and star of VH1′s upcoming reality show House of Consignment, about her business. She, in turn, gave us some great shopping tips.
Paz de la Huerta has that kind of fascinating craziness that makes for great red carpet moments and hilarious quotes, but apparently it also does wonders for really awkward video interviews, like this one she did with VH1′s Morning Buzz.
Stylist June Ambrose, a style star in her own right and the architect of some of the best-known looks in the entertainment industry, is getting her own reality show on VH1 this spring. She deserves the recognition, and yet there are some people who are already calling her show a knockoff of The Rachel Zoe Project.
Last week we reported that Katy Perry‘s handlers asked for the singer’s breasts to be downsized on a poster for VH1‘s Diva’s Salute the Troops concert. Turns out, we were wrong. And for that we apologize.
Katy Perry was just trying to do her part to support the troops when she signed on to perform in VH1′s annual “Divas Salute the Troops” concert. The concert, like all highly produced media events, requires a large number of still images, for which Perry gladly posed as a pinup girl. But when her publicists saw the images, they decided that her breasts looked too big and asked to have them retouched. You can only imagine how they react when they see her in person.
