All Victoria’s Secret Angels have been made privy to one sacred truth: Mortals, even those of female persuasion, never tire of gawking at their tall, tanned physiques. So, last night, when it was time to slip off their angels wings and paint the town pink at the after-party, the girls were considerate enough to keep plenty of skin on display despite New York City’s bone-chilling temps.
Another year, another Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra to put our microfiber Jockey underthings to shame. This year, Angel Candice Swanepoel will be sporting the “Royal Fantasy Bra,” which rings in at an eye-watering $10 million.
Back in April we told you about that Victoria’s Secret model who left the lingerie behemoth because it was getting in the way of her Christianity. In a piece in the New York Post Kylie Biscutti (pictured above right) had said she was moving to Montana with her husband to promote her book I’m No Angel (according to Victoria’s Secret she never was anyway) and to work on a Christian clothing line.
We can’t imagine why you would want to get your photo taken next to Karlie Kloss, Erin Heatherton and Behati Prinsloo after they’ve been poured into tiny bandage dresses. But today some people did just that, and it was weird. At least we think it happened today – this all supposedly went down at Victoria’s Secret Soho, right across the street from our office, and we didn’t notice a thing. Maybe it didn’t happen at all. But it’s on Instagram, which means it definitely happened, so we tried to critique it like we would an event that didn’t feature babies covered with feathers and furniture than may or not even be human-sized.
Picking up on Summer 2013’s lawsuit trend, luxury shirt retailer Thomas Pink has accused Victoria’s Secret of trademark infringement. Apparently Victoria’s Secret are confusing customers by hawking sweatpants and bath lotion under the name ‘PINK’.
If you haven’t been following the Victoria’s Secret U.S. of Angels Summer Swim Tour, it’s time we caught you up. After the lovely Candice Swanepoel kicked things off with a visit to Seattle, we followed supermodel Erin Heatherton to her fan-picked destination: Milwaukee. We asked Erin about her on-the-road style secrets, her must-have packing essentials, and what else she’s been up to this Summer (hint: you can find out at the movie theater!).
We never thought we’d see the day, but Adam Levine is, in fact, engaged to Behati Prinsloo. In honor of this borderline-inconceivable occasion, we decided to visit the Victoria’s Secret Angels of Levine’s past.
It’s a widespread effort on the part of supermodels to remind the public that they are not just insanely genetically blessed, but they also work their perfectly-taut derrières off. So when an opportunity to prove their workout ethic presents itself, and it benefits a charity, it’s not going to be passed up.
Remember that time Victoria’s Secret model booker Sophia Neophitou said that the lingerie brand would never use Kate Upton and that she’s “like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”? We do. And Upton certainly does, too. So imagine her surprise when, despite Neophitou’s disses, Victoria’s Secret splashed old pics of Upton from 2011 in their new catalog.
Hell hath no fury like a lingerie company scorned. That’s what Kylie Bisutti is finding out this week, following the piece she penned for Wednesday’s New York Post detailing her experiences working with Victoria’s Secret and her subsequent decision to give up modeling and commit her time to Christianity.
While a packed schedule may have been the real reason Miranda Kerr finally doffed her wings this year, another former Victoria’s Secret Angel had a very different reason for severing ties with the brand: her Christianity.
Miranda Kerr was just reportedly dropped as a Victoria’s Secret Angel! But before you get your panties all up in a bunch, here’s why losing the title means little to nothing for the model.
Another day, another Victoria’s Secret controversy. Who have they pissed off this time, you ask? Native American groups? Former suppliers? Greenpeace? No, this time it’s one of the most intimidating adversaries of all: moms. But is VS’ latest campaign really all that inappropriate? We’re not so sure.
Say what you will about Victoria’s Secret models — those girls know how to be comfortable in their skivvies. Former NYLON Creative Director and perennial Angel Helena Christensen recently launched a lingerie line for UK brand Triumph, and has a few tips for her customers on how to rock the barely-there look, even if you’re not doing it in front of an audience of millions.
It’s not warm enough to bring out the bikinis and hit the beach, but that’s not going to stop Victoria’s Secret from shilling two-pieces in Los Angeles.
VS Angel Behati Prinsloo stopped by The Couch before an appearance at the flagship store in NYC to chat about bras, bikinis, beach shoots, and the other stuff that comes with the territory of being a supermodel.
Who doesn’t love cheese? Who doesn’t love Victoria’s Secret models? Nobody, that’s who. Well, we suppose there are some people…but we certainly don’t know them. For the rest of us, however, Harper’s Bazaar has brought together these two glorious things for the newest installation of The Look with executive editor Laura Brown.
Ah, the Onion. Our go-to source for fake news and a little mid-day levity. Today the parody site is reporting on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which, as they tell it, drew huge ratings this year thanks to its popularity amongst “men who don’t know that actual pornography exists.”
The holidays are a time for indulgence, but Erin Heatherton‘s fitness regimen just makes us feel guilty about that third cup of eggnog.
