Winona Ryder Cozies Up To James Franco In All Black

Winona Ryder at The Iceman Screening

Ever since her teenaged turn in Mermaids, we’ve loved Winona Ryder emoting in all black. Lucky for us, she does that a lot. Pretty much all the time. Last night was no different, as the saucer-eyed starlet came to a New York screening of The Iceman in an all-black brocade number that flattered her diminutive frame.

Nostalgia was the name of the game at yesterday’s Hollywood screening of The Iceman, although Bella Thorne and Winona Ryder took the concept in two very different directions. Are you a fan of Thorne’s retro femme getup? Or is Ryder’s somber glamour more your speed?

Winona Ryder’s somber style will always hold a place near and dear to our hearts. Who cares if the weather is warming up? This is a woman whose penchant for black knows no season, and we love her for it. Last night, she hit the town in NYC for the opening night of Orphans on Broadway with another red carpet favorite of ours, Dakota Fanning, looking like the coolest girls on the block in spiffy, menswear-inspired ensembles.

Who’s to say fashion designers don’t enjoy a little role playing every once in a while? For the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Kim Kardashian wasn’t the only one who dressed up like her favorite movie character. The mag also cast some fashion heavyweights in recreations of director Mike Nichols’s most famous flicks.

Who Looked Better On The Dilemma‘s Red Carpet?

Last night, Jennifer Connelly and Winona Ryder celebrated the world premiere of The Dilemma in Chicago, Illinois. And while we know Winona is probably exhausted from the red carpet whirlwind that was Black Swan and Jennifer no doubt has better, baby-shaped things on her mind, neither actress really knocked it out of the park last night. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Despite the fact that less than four percent of our faithful readers gave actress Winona Ryder snaps for her Black Swan premiere ensemble, we have to say she looks about ten kinds of amazing in her spread for January’s issue of Elle.

Blake, Mila, And More: Who Was Last Night’s Best Dressed?

Last night was so chock full of events that we just couldn’t decide which one to attend! Well, that’s a lie, but all of our invites did seem to get lost in the mail. So instead we bring you the next best thing: a red carpet roundup of Blake Lively, Natalie Portman and other stylish stars.

LA’s AFI FEST ended with a screening of Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis‘s ballet flick, Black Swan. Natalie and Mila battle it out onstage in the psychological thriller that’s gathering major Oscar buzz, but it’s also fun to see how the two have fared on the Black Swan red carpet blitz this fall. This time they were joined by Winona Ryder (who also stars in the movie), Heidi Klum and Dita Von Teese.

With the exception of Blake Lively in that blood-red Chanel number, we haven’t seen too many red-carpet looks we like at the Toronto Film Festival. So when Natalie Portman and Winona Ryder, both of whom have caused stirs (take that how you will) on the red carpet in the past, we got excited that they’d up the ante.
