Zoe Saldana Page 1
Another day, another dose of red carpet eye candy from the Cannes Film Festival. In today’s gallery, we’ve got Zoe Saldana in romantic, regal Valentino, a bevy of models at a “secret” Le Baron fête, and Marion Cotillard in Dior so fresh Raf Simons was probably still packing up the runway version.
On the same day a much poo-poohed Allure issue disclosed her weight on the cover then showed her completely naked inside, Zoe Saldana had the guts (literally) to arrive at Tuesday night’s Star Trek: Into Darkness L.A. premiere in a torso-exposing dress.
There are no shortage of potential coverlines to be gleaned from Zoë Saldana’s Allure cover shoot and inside interview. She says she’s over dating actors, might “end up with a woman”…and she’s naked, for goodness sakes! So why did the magazine’s editors opt to draw attention to her weight?
Remember what we said about Zoe Saldana’s red carpet style savvy — we kinda take it back after seeing her latest turn in Balmain. Sorry, girl.
We can always count on Zoe Saldana to step it up in the fashion department, and we weren’t disappointed with her ensemble at the Star Trek Into Darkness photocall in Berlin, Germany on Sunday.
Our favorites from tonight’s red carpet! Featuring the regular heavy hitters (cough, cough, Kerry Washington), and a few that had us surprised — in a good way.
Ok, so we’ll kick things off by expressing our disappointment that no one got quite as festive as Allison Williams on the red carpet last night. Where the jingle bells at, amiright? That’s not to say there weren’t some winners out there, though.
There was so shortage of star power at last night’s UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York. Katy Perry, Allison Williams, and even the Bush twins showed up in fancy duds to fête and support the non-profit.
While the ladies are definitely holding down the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, we can’t forget about other equally glitzy events. Last night, we saw Kirsten Dunst, Zoe Saldana, and Brooke Shields hit the town in New York, while Kiera Knightley, Azealia Banks, Jessie J, and Lara Stone stepped out in London. Who was best dressed? This is a tough one!
Jaime King, Zoe Saldana, Abbie Cornish, Diana Agron, and more celebrated Persol at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens last night. Last night’s red carpet was probably the only red carpet where celebs could wear sunglasses without looking like idiots. But what else did they wear, and who looked best? Let’s break down the looks.
We love seeing couture on the red carpet, but Zoe Saldana‘s Givenchy gown left us feeling rather ambivalent.
The MTV Video Music Awards are always an excuse for celebs to let a little loose, literally and sartorially. But while some stars definitely went for wacky looks, others played it super safe.
Balmain’s short, glittery creations have been a veritable red carpet and editorial staple this season, so seeing Zoe Saldana in a long sleeved, deep-v, gold iteration of the dress at the Miami premiere of her new film Colombiana was no surprise. What was surprising, however, was the fact that unlike the dress that walked the Resort 2012 runway, hers came with a white train. It was, in other words, the Balmain version of mullet dress.
What happens when an actor steps behind the camera to direct short films for a fashion magazine? Readers of Glamour magazine are about to find out. Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana and Eva Longoria have all partnered with the magazine’s Reel Moments program, for which they’ll direct short films telling the real stories of Glamour readers.
This was the week of Cannes, Botox mom, and Lady Gaga. Also, Carla Bruni is probably, definitely pregnant, and Jane Pratt‘s website launched. And, you know, beards!
And the Cannes red carpet rages on. Last night’s big draw was The Tree Of Life premiere, which saw star Jessica Chastain face off against Angelina Jolie, Anna Dello Russo, Zoe Saldana, and Gwen Stefani. That’s some stiff competition, the fact that both Dello Russo and Saldana then changed into second gowns for the after party notwithstanding.
What to say about Calvin Klein that hasn’t already been said? Francisco Costa‘s minimalist-with-a-textured-twist take on fall clothing was signature CK, but with baggier proportions and unabashedly ’90s platform shoes.
Last night, Zoe Saldana walked the red carpet at UK Glamour’s Women Of The Year Awards, where she picked up the prize for Best Film Actress of the Year. And as per usual, her dress was quite the eye catcher.
Last night, Hollywood’s powerhouse entertainment industry women gathered in cocktail attire at the Hyatt Regency Century Hotel in Los Angeles to celebrate themselves, their careers, and the hard work that it took to get them where they are. The shade of the evening was black, with the exception of a few pops of color here and there. And while we understand the focus of the evening was not necessarily fashion, we think all of these ladies could have stepped it up.
