All in all, this year’s Golden Globe Awards drew a very well-dressed crowd. But no red carpet would be complete without some flubs, and the last night certainly brought out some doozies.
It may not even be January yet, but the first of the February glossies are already hitting the newsstand, and we’ve got our hands on Glamour‘s just-released cover, starring Zooey Deschanel.
Who’s excited for holiday nail art?! Zooey Deschanel and Jimmy Fallon sure are. Unfortunately, as far as we know, only the former is planning on sitting down for a fancy-pants themed manicure this year, but Fallon did dole out a few tips for Deschanel’s tips when she visited his set yesterday.
Sofia Vergara wasn’t the only one who suffered a wardrobe malfunction at last night’s Emmy Awards — Zooey Deschanel had her own dress mishap.
The 64th Primetime Emmys are going to be held tomorrow night, which means the red carpet extravaganza has officially begun! The A-listers turned out in force last night for the pre-show events, so there is much to discuss, sartorially speaking.
We did a double-take at each look on last night’s ESPY Awards red carpet. We’re used to seeing female athletes in uniforms, so it was a lovely surprise to finally see the ladies all gussied up. Awesome dresses! Pretty hair! Fake tans! Some missed the mark, while others transformed into glamazons.
Sure, awards were given out at the Broadcast Television Journalists Association‘s Critics’ Choice Awards in California last night. But really, the most important accolades are the ones we’re giving out for being best (and worst) dressed on the red carpet.
The Billboard Music Awards aren’t the biggest of deals when it comes to award shows, but plenty of stars a) attend and b) walk the red carpet in fun things. We’ve compiled all of the looks (both lady looks and dude looks) for your perusal. And we, of course, have thoughts.
Tinseltown’s finest decked themselves out in Stella McCartney last night to celebrate the video premiere of Paul McCartney‘s “My Valentine”, starring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp.
We have a big ol’ girl crush on Zooey Deschanel. Not only can she pull off bangs like nobody’s business, she also owned the Golden Globes red carpet in a custom Prada number. This is why it pains us to find out that she was bullied in school.
Say what you will about Zooey Deschanel‘s twee brand of Manic Pixie Dream Girl. The actress-singer-blogger-crafter knows how to poke fun at herself.
Remember when Zooey Deschanel sued Steven Madden in 2010 for failing to pay her the $2 million she was supposed to get for endorsing the brand’s shoes? After a year of legal back and forth, the actress has called the whole thing off.
Wearing a custom, one-of-a-kind Prada gown to the Golden Globe awards is no small feat, and Zooey Deschanel pulled it off with aplomb.
Celebrities: they’re just like us! They attend Halloween parties in silly costumes! Let’s look at them!
For a red carpet that we would characterize as fairly vanilla, there were still some looks from last night’s Emmy Awards that we found sartorially offensive.
Our Idiot Brother bowed last night in Los Angeles, giving its lady castmembers a delightful excuse to get all dolled up for the red carpet. The fact that Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Olivia Munn, and Elizabeth Banks are all hilarious notwithstanding, their ensembles were varying degrees of fun, flirty, and playfully risky. Which means this makes our poll and gallery all the more exciting: who do you think was best dressed?
The royal couple’s trip to the States may be brief (they’re leaving today…sad face), but they’re certainly making the most of it. Last night the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rubbed shoulders with members of the Hollywood elite at the glamourous BAFTA “Brits to Watch” gala in Los Angeles.
This isn’t particularly surprising, but it turns out that teenage Zooey Deschanel was a bit of a spitfire. A fan recently unearthed a letter the then 17-year-old actress wrote to Vogue magazine, in which Deschanel calls the magazine out for highlighting a singular “ideal” of beauty and advocates for more diversity and encouragement — and which Vogue published.
Do you recognize the model in this ad for Rimmel‘s Lasting Finish lipstick? No? Us either! But apparently it’s Zooey Deschanel…!
