PHOTOS: Brad Goreski’s Sartorial Evolution

UPDATE: Brad had this to say about his leather driving hat / jacket combo.

Cute post! That jacket, hat and jeans are all tom ford for gucci. I still have each piece and treasure them. Very 2003 xo

Brad Goreski hasn’t been a style star in his own right for that long, but now that his sartorial sensibility warrants love from The New York Times and inspires copycat acts everywhere, we thought it might be the right time to take a look back at the clothes that made the man.

For someone who’s been called the zeitgeist of the men’s fashion industry (and yes, we own that we called him that), Goreski has done a good job of not being photographed publicly. Of course, master stylist (and Goreski’s boss) Rachel Zoe is in a fair few pictures with him.

But between an unfortunate leather jacket and driving cap combination circa 2003 (which may or may not be the most amazing photo in this gallery; can you believe that’s how he used to dress?) and just after The Rachel Zoe Project started to take off in 2009, we had a hard time finding photos of him at all. We have no doubt, though, that now that Goreski’s a big deal, that’ll start to change — and we can’t wait to see more.
