Supermodel Christie Brinkley Owes The IRS Over $500,000
The pesky folks at the Internal Revenue Service just slammed supermodel Christie Brinkley with a tax lien so large it’ll make your head spin.
The Detroit News reports that the IRS has accused Brinkley of neglecting to pay some $531,720 in federal taxes, and to get them back the agency has placed a lien on her $30 million Tower Hill home in the Hamptons.

Luckily, 57-year-old Brinkley is sort of rolling in the money — or at least she was circa 2008. Back then, her real estate portfolio and other holdings were worth an estimated $80 million altogether, making the Hamptons house the crown jewel of her fortune. She was also the longest running CoverGirl model, starred in a run of Chicago earlier this year and owns a skincare line. So she’s probably got a few shekels stored up.

Still, rich people don’t always just have half a million dollars laying around, so it wouldn’t surprise us if the IRS had to wait a few days before Brinkley started paying her debt down. (It also wouldn’t surprise us if she lawyered up big time to reduce the debt.)
