Last night, we attended Ferragamo’s launch party for their new women’s fragrance, Attimo, held on the roof of New York’s latest spot-to-be-seen Standard Hotel. And while the views were certainly beautiful, the first thing to catch our eye was the face of the fragrance, Dree Hemingway and the metallic pewter, Halston-esque dress she wore, the plunging v-neck of which she paired with an olive green bandeau top.
For the full-length pic, we chose one of Dree and “Gossip Girl” star Sebastian Stan because he was there and because he is as nice to look at as her dress.
Agyness, Irinia, and Dree’s dress on the Ferragamo runway:
In case you were wondering, the perfume — which, yes, we received for free in the gift bag — smells fabulous. We’d describe it for you, but like our friends over at The Gloss, we have no idea how to describe perfume. It’s decidedly mature without being old-womany, and as a friend who put it on last night told us in an IM, “I woke up smelling so nice, btw. Like the perfume.” For our part, we wondered if Dree’s contract was part of a conscious effort on Ferragamo’s part to skew younger — a question we posed to the lady in charge, Giovanna Ferragamo. Her response: “Style isn’t about age, it’s about attitude.” Fair enough.
